Farm's History

Our farm has a rich history dating back to King George III. The Dennis Family started the farm after the Revolutionary War. We found a map from 1860 that shows their plots. We are fortunate to have (and use) the barn they built over 150 years ago. Interestingly, many descendants from neighboring farms still live in the area. We have more investigative work to do. We believe the Dennis Family ran a summer camp on the farm at one point. In the 1700s England, we also think we may have harvested trees for firewood.

Stuck Dump Trailer

We are grading the lower field to bring it closer to road level. The dump trailer got stuck in the soft dirt, and George used the backhoe bucket to free it.
